Here Not Being There

I spent most of this sultry Saturday wishing to be somewhere else. A place with icebergs comes to mind, but I'd have settled for a nice beach. Actually I'd have settled for an air conditioned theater showing a movie with icebergs or beaches in it. As it is I have to settle for an evening with a bit of a cooling breeze. There are crickets and lemonade, too— not together, of course. Crickets would be an unpleasant snack to go with lemonade, but it's nice to listen to them chirp. I'm going out to do that now. Can't enjoy a cool evening from inside a hot house.
