rejectomorphA cool, overcast day has brought an evening full of light drizzle. It's nice to have more rain, however sparse. I don't think this storm is supposed to bring any thunder and lightning, which is just as well. I don't want to have to unplug all my electronic stuff again so soon.
One consequence of yesterday's dramatic storm was that I didn't get to sleep until after dawn, and then didn't wake up until almost noon. Staying up late was worth it, though, because the early morning brought a thin fog. We don't get fog here very often, and even a thin fog is a nice change.
The walnut tree is getting its first tiny leaves of the year. It will soon be blocking most of my view to the southeast, but once the hot weather arrives the shade will be welcome, and well worth giving up the view for.
I didn't get to the store today, nor did I get a nap, and the lack of sleep is making me a bit groggy. I must go eat something before I'm too tired to cook. It will probably be just a grilled cheese sandwich and maybe some soup. Anything more complex would be beyond the capacity of my sleep-deprived head. Too much excitement lately.
