Reset Thirty-Nine, Day Twenty-One

rejectomorphThere was apparently a Friday, but I paid little attention to it. I was busy not feeling well. Outdoors it got hot, and some small birds of some sort were hanging out in the giant bush chattering loudly. They would have driven me back indoors if the heat hadn't done so first. I looked at a lot of Internet but didn't do anything in particular with it. I also didn't arrange for foods, so that task passes to today, after I wake up, if I wake up.
Right now that faintly citrusy scent is in the cool night air. Whatever it is I can't smell in the daytime, but I don't know if it's because the plant doesn't release fragrance in daylight or because the fumes from the daily traffic on the freeway overpower it. It's too early, even in this warm year, for jasmine, and it doesn't smell quite like any jasmine I've ever smelled before. But now that I think of it, it does smell quite a bit like gardenia. I wonder if that could be it? Though I think gardenia can be detected in the daytime, so I don't know. A mystery. I think I'll sleep on it. As soon as possible.
