Reset Forty, Day Five

rejectomorphWednesday was one of those days when I ought to have had a nap but didn't. Laundry finally got done, but that was not restful. Somebody ate an extra donut... okay, it was me... but somehow that did not make up for my lack of sufficient sleep. Late in the evening something similar to rain but much, much slower began falling, and has been falling very, very slowly ever since. It is almost like the sky is mocking my sluggishness. Perhaps I should take offense, but I haven't the energy to do that, and I doubt that a third donut would supply me with it, and I can't think of anything else, so I've done nothing.
Naturally the thing that would be most likely to help most is to sleep, but something is making me edgy and I can't seem to nod off for more than a few seconds. Of course it's possible that I am in fact asleep, and this is all a dream, but it's not very likely. I dearly wish it were true, though, as I almost never remember my dreams, and this is a night I'd be happy to forget. But then since I wouldn't remember why I was happy, my happiness would be inexplicable, and that would be likely to worry me, and that would keep me awake. I think I need to make up my mind that I can't win this one. I'm hoping that the realization will make me sad, and then I'll cry myself to sleep. But again, the odds are slim.
Clearly I've been cursed.
I just had to post this entry without finishing it because my keyboard quit working. I rebooted the computer and it's okay now. I have no idea what happened, but it was probably something I did. Perhaps Sluggo's ghost found me.
Anyway, now I've forgotten what else I was going to say. Undoubtedly it would have been the best thing I could ever have written, aside from its being of no importance whatsoever. I guess we'll never know.
Cursed. And so to bed.
