Reset Forty, Day Forty-One

rejectomorphI got quite a bit of sleep Wednesday, with not too many interruptions, but then didn't get up until around two o'clock in the afternoon. I didn't get any of my needful tasks done (I'm unfond of making phone calls) and then I did some rather elaborate cooking for dinner, which I wish I hadn't, but stuff was verging on expiration and it had to be done. I ended up stuffed and logy and still have dishes to wash, which will have to wait until tomorrow later today I think as I've just felt a total crash coming on.
It got up to a wretched 97 degrees Wednesday, and the night isn't going lower than 68, so it's full-on summerlike. It is also dry and windy, so there is a fire alert in effect. We'll now get a couple of days in the mere eighties, but next Tuesday a triple digit high is predicted for the first time this year. I'm sure it won't be the last. I have a very, very, very bad feeling about this summer. Very bad. Very.
