Actually, there was no moon tonight, but there was eBay. For the first time in a couple of months I went and looked at the postcard auctions. There were some nice cards of Pasadena I hadn't seen before. One of the Hotel Green (although the listing called it the Pasadena Hotel) when it still had a bridge across Raymond Avenue. Early 20th century Pasadena was visually fascinating. I would like to have seen it in person. It still had a bit of that look when I was very young, and I have vague memories of places such as the Shakespeare Club and the Pasadena Athletic Club, before they were replaced by today's dull suburbanism. Now, much of it exists only in these old photographs. What brief lives American townscapes have!

Oops.

Sluggo crashed as I was fetching e-mail this afternoon, and when I got him working again, there was a notice that Juno had saved one unviewed message from the previous session. It was spam, of course. So, now I don't know if that was the only piece of mail that came in, or if there was more and it was all lost. Stupid c*mp*t*rs!

My user name in color. I'm posting it late at night, so it is more likely to pass unnoticed. (Hiding my shame, in other words.)
