Yikes!

When I chose my first e-mail address, I wanted "bargle." This was a word I had come up with to supplement "rhubarb" when making background crowd noises on tapes. (Long story.) Over the years, it had evolved into my all-purpose word. I used it all the time. Bargle, bargle. Anyway, it turned out to be taken already (which was a great surprise to me,) so I added a "d." "bargled."

Okay. So, tonight, I did a google search on "bargled," just to see if anything would come up. I found http://www.pseudodictionary.com/bargle

Well, now I know!

Relic

On my walk this afternoon, I caught a brief glimpse of a Nash Metropolitan. I looked back over my shoulder, and saw it just as it turned a corner onto a side street. It was two-tone yellow and white. One seldom sees these things anymore. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it.

It reminded me that, a couple of weeks ago, in the same location, I saw an aquamarine Chevy Corvette of about the same vintage. (No link to Corvettes- I don't have time to hunt down a decent site.) The 1950s produced some interesting cars. Maybe I'll see a Studebaker again someday. This town has quite a few old folks who have hung on to their old cars.
