Okay, so I'm anthropomorphizing. It is a very weird color!

Records falling all over the north state.

It hit 115 in Redding yesterday. 115! It isn't supposed to be 115 in Redding! That is a temperature for Death Valley!

It is 5:30 in the morning, and my attic fan is still running. I think this is the first time that has ever happened.

Yikes! Scorched Earth!

I just got my first ever error message at LiveJournal, after more than a year!

Line: 33
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: (http://www.livejournal.com/update.bml?mode=full)

I get those at other sites, all the time- especially at places like Geocities and Tripod. Never here before.

Anyway.

The sky so bright, that I sneeze when I try to look at the clouds. (There are a few clouds, today. Surprise. I never expected to see clouds again. I thought we would all be dead by the time the earth's moisture boiled away into space.)

A slight breeze ruffling the lawn. The cat sleeping in the shade. Iced tea. I guess I can live with this, as long as I have plenty of towels with which to mop up the sweat.

Dinner.

Thunder?

All afternoon the clouds grew and spread across the sky, until most of it was covered, so the sunset is quite colorful. The clouds will hold in the day's heat, though. Maybe there will be one of those splencid summer thunderstorms. I thought I heard thunder a few minutes ago, but it turned out to be a jet. A thunder storm would make up for the muggy heat we will have to endure tonight. I was going to soak the plants again, but I think I'll wait to see if there will be rain. More tea, more tea. More ice.
