Okay, so I'm anthropomorphizing. It is a very weird color!

Records falling all over the north state.

It hit 115 in Redding yesterday. 115! It isn't supposed to be 115 in Redding! That is a temperature for Death Valley!

It is 5:30 in the morning, and my attic fan is still running. I think this is the first time that has ever happened.

Yikes! Scorched Earth!

It sounds like summer isn't your favorite season, as it is mine.

When I was very young, I prefered summer to all other seasons, because there was no school. Now I prefer the milder days of spring. Of course, I used to live closer to the ocean, as well. Inland California summers can be brutal. This is probably a very pleasant day along the coast. Here, even the flies are dropping from the heat.

Spring in Tornado Alley means only one thing - TORNADOES!!! I probably don't have to say it's my least favorite season, huh? Although... I do love the rain. We have days and days of over 100F heat each year. I love it. I wore shorts on Christmas day a couple years ago. Gotta love that!!
