Hiss

The sound of cats yowling at one another has been going on for about ten minutes. It's somewhere across the street now, but it started down the block to the south. I went out to see what I could see, but my flashlight revealed nothing. The striped kitty is in my back yard, so I think one of the yowlers must be the big gray cat, and the other most likely is the white faced gray cat. So far, there's been nothing but the yowling that comes before a cat fight. Apparently, neither one of them wants the confrontation to turn into a full-on fight. Maybe they remember how annoyed I get when they fight. Last time these two got into a contretemps in my back yard, I went out and broke it up. Both kitties are afraid of me, despite the fact that I feed them, so it wasn't difficult to scatter them. They later fought beyond my back fence, where I couldn't go, but I haven't heard any bickering between them since, unless that's them right now. Bad kitties.

It's continued to get cooler for the last few days, but the fun's over. The temperature will start rising again tomorrow and days will be back into the 90s by the weekend. At least the nights won't get much warmer than they've been this week. I'm still not feeling very energetic, though. It's the summer doldrums. Need to drink more freezy stuff.
