Belated Again

My days keep getting attenuated. Here I am late again, another day missed. I used to update twice a day, but now I'm kept too busy. Looking after old people is very time consuming.

The brave kitten came within ten feet of me as I sat on the back porch this (last) evening, and took a cat nap. The other two stayed farther away, but didn't run off. Maybe they'll start following the brave kitten's example.

It'll be back to running the air conditioner tomorrow, I fear. Five days in a row in the nineties are predicted. Most likely still more will follow. Oh, July.

Stench!

From about midnight last night until I went to sleep this morning I kept smelling a brush fire. The Cal Fire incident report said that it started at 11:30 pm on the 13th, so I must have smelled it pretty soon after it began. It took out about 40 acres, but has apparently been contained. I haven't smelled it at all day, but then the wind has been from the other direction. I have no desire to smell it tonight, and have no need of brush fires. I'm busy enough as it is, and an evacuation would be way too much trouble.

The coupon section of my Sunday paper contained a full page ad for a product I've never seen. It turns out they also have a web site. Yes, it's called Butt Paste. They also produce products called Butt Bath and Baby Butt Smooth. Oh, dear.

Kittens won't get fed very well tonight unless their mom catches something for them. I'm running low on cat food. Kittens eat too much.
