When I woke up it was still dark out. I could just make out that the clock's hour hand was near six, so I figured I could go back to sleep for another hour or so, until the sun came up. When I woke up again it was half past nine, and it was still dark out. That's when I realized that it wasn't Wednesday morning but still Tuesday evening. I had fallen asleep on the couch late this afternoon, and just lost track of when I was. Well, happy freaking new year! Getting lost in an unintended nap seems as good a way as any to end 2013. It was muddled from beginning to end anyway.

I'll probably be awake all night tonight, and end up sleeping most of the day tomorrow. Just like old times. At least I think so. I'm not sure if I'm remembering them or still dreaming. Maybe it doesn't make any difference. So long, Tuesday. You're fading from my thoughts already.
