More heat and odd sleeping hours have combined to fuzz my brain and leave me bereft of appealing words. Also I failed to eat dinner for lunch today, which I'd intended to do, and now I'm hungry but lacking the energy to fix dinner. That usually means a microwaved burrito. That's probably what it will end up being this time, too. The more ambitious dinner I'd intended for lunch today will just have to wait and be lunch tomorrow. It probably doesn't care. I don't much care either. Just as long as I eat stuff before it goes bad I no longer worry much about these disruptions. There they are and so what.
On the other hand my forgetfulness has an occasional positive result, and this evening I discovered that I must have forgotten to have beer with one dinner recently, as I've now got an extra bottle in the refrigerator. I'm seriously considering drinking it tonight instead of saving it for later. After the last couple of weeks I think I deserve a bit of self indulgence. This will be the equivalent of what going to a wild party would have been forty years ago. It's amazing just how cheap cheap thrills can get when you get older.
