Reset Forty, Day Twenty-Nine
May. 7th, 2022 04:35 amWhile I did manage to wake up fairly early (though somewhat short of sleep) Friday, and then eventually remembered that I need to make a phone call, the place I was calling was already closed. I'd expected the office to be open until five, but it turns out they close at four. That means it gets put of until Monday, and that's unlikely to be the end of it. I'm sure more will have to be done. This is why I can't have nice things.
The morning was overcast again, but the clouds began breaking up after noon, and by evening they had become big and white and fluffy. I forgot to go out and look at them at sunset. I never seem to remember sunsets anymore. I used to have a computer desk under a west-facing window and saw the sunset every day, but here the only window is off to the side, and only a small slice of sky shows through it, and the view is mostly north. Unless I happen to remember to check the mailbox around that time, I always seem to miss the sunset.
It's supposed to be partly cloudy again today, but mild and maybe a bit windy. The chilly spell I'm looking forward to starts Sunday. I hope to get some tidying done around the apartment, if I can stay focused enough. There's stuff I keep forgetting to do, like dusting the window blinds and get the cobwebs that collect next to the ceiling in the corners. My eyesight has gotten bad enough that I can't actually see the cobwebs, but I know they are there.
Ah, nodding off again. That's a good thing. I want to get to sleep before the sky turns too bright.
