Nov. 9th, 2022

Tuesday was somewhat rainy, and I was awake before dawn and then took an afternoon nap that ended after nightfall. Then I remembered I hadn't checked the mail, so I went out and found a soaked renewal notice from The Atlantic. At least I assume it's a renewal notice, as I don't want to open it until it's dry. I fixed something for dinner, then had a chocolate cupcake for dessert. Later I heard geese flying over the neighborhood. It's going to be cold day and an even colder night, but the rain is probably over for now.

Tuesday was also the fourth anniversary of the fire that burned Paradise. It doesn't really seem that long ago, but then my perception of time has gotten somewhat screwed up since then. I was going to write something about the fire, but find I have nothing to say anymore. I still miss my cats, and I'll probably never have my own house again. I wish November had been this rainy four years ago. You tell 'em, Shirley:
