Reset Forty-Three, Day Fourteen

Friday the sleep shortage caught up with me, and shortly after nine o'clock in the evening I put the computer in sleep mode and then followed its example. I didn't wake up until almost two o'clock in the morning, when I went outside and listened to the intermittent near-silence into which the mini-metropolis falls by night. It was a bit cooler than recent nights, though still not chilly. Dinner had to wait until after the nap, nut I'm whittling away at that huge head of broccoli I got as a substitution for the mere broccoli head I'd ordered. The perils of online ordering.

Other than that nothing much happened. I haven't heard the mockingbird for several days now. I wonder of the extreme heat has driven it into hiding somewhere? If so, I'd consider following it.

I'm doping off and starting to nod. I think it's time to try sleeping again.
