Reset Forty-Seven, Day Sixty-Nine
Feb. 7th, 2023 04:13 amMonday brought fresh groceries and, a bit later, the first eight of the clothing items I ordered some days ago. I had expected them Tuesday but they turned up on my doorstep Monday evening. I've tried some of them on and they'll do, though I think next time I'll order slightly shorter pants. These bunch a bit at the bottom, which will be a hazard for my shoelaces which sometimes come undone from continual abrasion.
My brain was malfunctioning more than usual while I was making out my shopping list, so I forgot a couple of things, and then the store was out of a couple of other things, so it was not the most successful of ventures, but it will be adequate for now. I got a dinner sandwich made on terribly fresh bread, and more recently indulged myself in a stack of pancakes and a glass of chocolate milk for the first time in a week. Now I'm seriously ready to get some sleep.
A couple of days with highs of 65 degrees are coming up this week. Next week one is predicted to reach 68. My strong disapproval is sure to go unheeded by uncaring reality. So be it. I have beer.
