Reset Forty-Eight, Day Twenty-Five
Mar. 11th, 2023 04:47 amOnly a few minutes of Friday remained when I woke from along nap and found myself wandering about the dark, chilly apartment like a zombie. I tried to remember the day, but al I could recall were a few scenes; going out very early that morning to the mailbox to find a soaked ad from the Neptune Society, that outfit that cheaply tosses your cadaver's ashes into the sea for you; sleeping for a while, until about noon; making pancakes for lunch; trying to sleep in the patch of sunlight that appeared on the bed after three o'clock, but being kept awake by terribly itchy legs and feet; finally getting to sleep after the patch of sunlight had vanished with evening; then waking up near midnight a a zombie. Since then I've microwaved some yakisoba in lieu of dinner, and listened to moody piano solos on the Idernet. Does that count a a full day? I guess it was as full as any anymore. Full of something.
Today is supposed to be rainy again, as are Sunday and Tuesday, and probably Monday as well. After that rain is a possibility but not a certainty for most of what's left of March. The storm starting today could be the last big one of they ear. We'll probably be lucky if it is, as we already have well over a years worth of snow packed on the mountains. There's just no place to put any more, and the river are running through the streets in some places. That's about enough of that.
If I had more of that yakisoba I'd probably eat it, so it's probably a good thing I don't. I might eat a bit of ice cream. I had pretty bad acid reflux earlier, and ice cream might cool it off. I'm making some cold brew coffee for later today. I haven't had coffee for a couple of months, but I'm running out of tea, which I forgot to put on my shopping list last time. Not sure when I'll get anything from the store again. Right now I'm giving one last bedtime listen to this incredibly minimalist piano music by Stephan Moccio. I don't recommend listening to it in the morning unless, like me, you want to go back to sleep.
