Reset Forty-Eight, Day Thirty-Four
Mar. 20th, 2023 01:13 amSunday rain rattled on the roof every time I woke up during the long late night and early morning. I don't remember when I finally got up, but there was eventually dinner and arrangements were made for groceries to be fetched today. The rain finally stopped, too, but the world still hasn't dried off. Buds are appearing on the back fence bush, and there is but one fully sunny day in the two-week forecast. Most days actually show a possibility of showers. Spring might be as damp as winter was. That hasn't happened around here in a long time.
I haven't had a nap, so I should be going to sleep fairly soon. I need to be awake pretty early to do the online grocery order. I'll probably do part of it now and then let the computer sleep while I do and finish the order in the morning. The problem is if I let it o too late I might not be able to get a good pickup time. Every convenience brings its own complications. When I was a kid we had bakery trucks that came around, and when I was home I bought stuff from one of them frequently. But the truck came around nine o'clock in the morning, and had to be awake by then, though even as a kid I loved to sleep in. Ig we still had bakery trucks I'd probably never get any thing from them unless they came by in the afternoon.
Not that any of that is pertinent. I'm getting tired and thus babbling. I should get started on that grocery order.
