Reset Forty-Eight, Day Forty-Four
Apr. 8th, 2023 06:52 amSlept odd Friday, and it looks like I might be having Friday's dinner for breakfast this morning. Or maybe I'll just go back to sleep, since I've been up since four o'clock, who knows? Two hours is a long time to stay awake. The furnace hasn't been running much for the last few hours, and it looks like the days are definitely warming up, and the nights too. we will be getting highs in the low seventies for most of the next two weeks, and no lows below 44. So, spring. Somehow it feels anticlimactic.
My order from Kohl's is ready to ship, in three packages arriving next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The blanket I'm most looking forward to is due Wednesday, in time for one of those 44 degree nights. The bulk of the order should be here Thursday, and three small items in the last package Friday. I hate shopping, but I do like getting packages. But then I have to deal with all the packaging, which I also hate. But them I get to use the stuff I bought, which I like. But then after I use the stuff I have to wash it, which I hate. Life is complicated, yo.
I vaguely hear the sound of morning birds chirping outside, and light is leaking through the blinds. It's Saturday, so it's sort of quiet. Not so much traffic on the freeway. I don't suppose anything interesting will happen here today. Same old same older. I should get started fixing last night's dinner. Unless I go back to bed. But I'll probably fix dinner, as it's a good excuse to have a morning beer.
