Reset Forty-Eight, Day Fifty-Seven
Apr. 21st, 2023 06:02 amAnother day nothing done. Oh, the usual: lunch, dinner, Idernet, but nothing Done. It got balmy outside, but I didn't go out much, mostly for fear of pollen. I actually can't remember if there was a nap or not. Judging from the way I've been yawning I'd guess not. I have the feeling that the last time I woke up, whenever it was, I was terribly sad. That sometimes puts me off sleeping, but it can also put me off being awake. Sad puts me in a twilight zone. There I listen to music.
Here's a song I've spent a lot of time with lately. It's Kenny Rankin's 2002 recording of the 1941 Harold Arlen-Ted Koehler song "When the Sun Comes Out." This may be my all time favorite rendition of this song, even beating out Ella Fitzgerald's version. Also one of the vey best things Rankin ever did. I haven't been able to discover who did the arrangement, but it is superb.
