Reset Forty-Eight, Day Sixty-Nine
May. 3rd, 2023 05:23 amSleepy Tuesday, no real rain, chips for lunch, afternoon nap, sandwich for dinner, evening nap, ramen for late night snack, headache, hardly surprising. It will be chilly for a few more days, and right now I want to go back to sleep. I'm utterly out of energy, and have done nothing to use any up. Oldness. Today the first delivery is due, the torchier. I'll need dimmable bulbs. Hope I can arrange to get them.
Gordon Lightfoot died the other day. He was about six years older than me, but managed to accomplish more before I ever heard him, which was about 1968, than I have in my entire life. I don't think he ever wrote or sang a really bad song, which is quite a feat in the age of mass-marketed music. Here is one of his early songs. I think it may be his loveliest, and saddest. I've loved it for 55 years. R.I.P.
