For the second day in a row LiveJournal is not letting me post an entry. The "Preview Entry" and "Post to flying_blind" buttons below the entry form are greyed out and unusable, although everything else on the site appears to be working normally. I can even post comments to other people's entries. I posted a support request, but that was about fifteen hours ago and so far there's no response. I'm not really expecting one. I doubt there are many English speaking support volunteers left there, and the Russians are surely busy with other things.

I tried logging in with two other browsers, in case that was the issue, but the same problem appears in both Chrome and Firefox. There's probably no point in trying Microsoft's Edge. (Rest in Peace Burn in Hell, Explorer.) One other thing could be the cause, but I'm reluctant to make the change needed to even find out. I always get the "Switch to the up-to-date version" link at the top of the update page, because I've never done that. I looked at it when it was first introduced and didn't like the look or feel of it, so I stuck with my S2 (or whatever it is called) style. It could be that S2 has finally stopped working, and they aren't going to fix it. But I'd have to switch to that new style to find out, and once I do that there's no way back.

Since friends and communities I follow (and feeds) are successfully updating it's obviously not a thing for them, so what the hell is it. I'd think I was being specifically targeted, if that weren't such a grandiose notion, what with me being an Idernet nonentity and all. I suppose the Russian FSB could, in its incompetence, have mistaken me for someone important, but more likely I've just fallen through some crack in the LJ code of which the FSB, which probably owns LJ, are, in their incompetence, unable to (or too drunk to) fix. Anyway, I'll just keep posting here and hope the problem is resolved somehow.

In the meantime, in the real world I did manage to get out to see the full moon shortly after it rose Wednesday night, but it was a little bit too late to see it in its full orange glory, as it had risen above the level of the concentration of pollutants that is the likely cause of the coloration. It was all blurry from my bad eyesight anyway. I went back indoors and played a few videos on the Idernet and ate a sandwich and then went to sleep. I guess I'm about ready to do that again. Might have a piece of bread and butter first, as I remembered to put the butter out to soften. Because I'm only stupid about 90% of the time.

But here is a trip and a half: Michael Jackson's "Beat It" played on a traditional Chinese guzheng:
