As I have no idea what I'm doing, I'll just blather randomly. LJ is out to lunch again, and though I finally got a response to my support request, it suggests digging into browser settings and such, and I was never good at that in my best days, so I'll probably just put up with whatever it is that has come to pass. I've long believed LJ to be on its last legs, and that we have that in common, so I'm disinclined to give the asses of any rats. I've gotten too old to be dealing with this sort of thing anyway, and will be dead soon enough.

Belabor Day was barely noticeable, as are most holidays anymore. I was awake most of the afternoon and evening, then took a shower and made a sandwich after, and then began a nap around ten o'clock in the evening. That lasted until three this morning, and now I'm thinking of sleeping some more, though I think I'll need a snack first. I might still have a ramen bowl left.

And hey, now that I've written something in the update form, the Preview and Post buttons have reappeared. That hasn't always been the case over the last few days, so maybe the code is recovering from whatever ailed it. But I'll just accept this horsey gift and not look in its mouth. And in the meantime...

Oh life is a glorious cycle of song, a medley of extemporanea, right? While lying awake after my last sleep my mind, unmoored in time, wandered into the summer of 1978 (God knows why) and brought back the memory of this song. It was not a great time for me, this was not a favorite band, and the song was pretty much just radio-borne background music to which I paid little heed in those days, but now that I hear it again, it's almost like randomly meeting an old acquaintance you find yourself surprisingly happy to see. Ambrosia, isn't it? Well fancy seeing you here!
