This is me being unfocused again. Shopping day was sufficiently exhausting to require an early nap, and then I had a big dinner with fresh ingredients to fix and devour, and that was enervating and led to another long sleep which ended around six o'clock this morning, and I was planning to post an entry soon after, but realized that the laundry room was available so started washing stuff, and then decide to wash more stuff, and then got last nights dinner dishes washed, and with various and sundry little side distractions that ended up being half of today gone and here I am. I have one last load in the washing machine and one in the dryer, and after the second of those loads is dried I expect I'll be sufficiently frazzled that I'll need another nap. In the meantime I'm thinking about lunch, which I might make right now, if I can decide what to eat.
Even though it was supposed to be only 66 degrees today it is feeling quite balmy out, and I've got a window open. It' supposed to stay fairly cool for the ret of the month, and one upcoming night is predicted to have a low of 36 degrees. Most encouraging is that beginning a week from tomorrow, there is a better than 50% chance of showers eight days in a row. I know form experience that these could easily turn into predictions of rain for at a least some of those days. Rain would just about guarantee that fire season is over for us. We didn't have single major fire around here this year, and if November turns wet enough we're probably home free. That will be nice.
Oh. I think my laundry is done, which means so is this entry.
