Moses on a matzoh! How did this get to be Sunday? I've been a day off for two days! I thought this was Monday already. That means I didn't check my mail yesterday, and it might still be sitting out there. At least I don't remember checking it. Maybe I did and just forgot. Time and I have not been getting along well lately.
The only thing I remember offhand from Saturday is that I had a dream and actually remembered a fragment of it. For the last year or so my calves have been chronically tensed, as stiff as enormous sausages, but in the dream they suddenly relaxed, and quivered like relaxed muscles do when shaken. The dream fragment I retained was so realistic that when I woke up I checked my calves to see if it was true, but it wasn't, of course. Still falling apart, outside dreams.
After an afternoon nap, I believe I fixed some dinner, as I see a bowl in the sink and a used pot on the stove. They couldn't be from Friday, could they? I suppose they could, but they probably aren't. I am pretty sure I went to sleep fairly early, and then slept most of the night, only waking up a couple of times, almost like a person. The bed was a mess when I woke up this morning though, as it got too warm and I must have kicked the covers about in my sleep. Another reminder, along with my runny nose and frequent sneezes, that spring is upon us. Another damned thing to adjust to. I'm too old for all this adjusting. Reality just won't stay off my lawn, and the clouds never listen when I shout at them.
