Pretty much the whole of Sunday afternoon was consumed by a nap, which I didn't mind even though it wasn't a great nap. The day was too warm again, and I would not have enjoyed being awake for it. Today is to be even hotter, so maybe I'll nap a lot again. Right now is supposed to be the peak of the Lyrid meteor shower, but viewing won't be good in the mini-metropolis. Even if I were still in the mountains, the nearly-full moon would be a problem. After today there is to be a bit of cooling, and Thursday afternoon we might even get a few rain showers, but I won't be holding my breath. I wish I could hold my breath until pollen season is over, but I can't, and the pollen is probably one of the reasons I've been feeling crappy. It would be nice if Thursday brought a respite, however brief, but I'm not expecting it.
The full mon of April, which will be here Tuesday evening, is called the pink moon, because it coincides with the blooming of the pink phlox plant. Pink Moon is also the title of one of the haunted Nick Drake's most haunting songs. I like to listen to it this time of year. Any time of year, really, but especially this time of year.
