Friday turned out to be a pretty good day for sleeping, and I did a lot of it. Between naps I did a lot of sneezing, and I'm fast exhausting my tissue supply with my perpetually runny nose. Indeed, my nasal discharges have grown so persistent that are making me feel like I'm in elementary school again. One of my main memories of that time is that I lived in a virtual petri dish and all too often succumbed to its overabundant supply of viruses. Once again, old age is proving to be a replay of childhood's annoyances.
Except now I have to cook my own food. To my surprise, I did okay Friday evening, and so far my stomach has not displayed any infantile reactions to it. The beer did tempt me toward another premature nap, but I resisted and should soon reap the reward in the form of a long period of sleep again today. I'll have some pleasant rain sounds to accompany it, as the late spring storm has arrived, and I've been hearing rain for a couple of hours now. It is quite pleasantly relaxing, and the heavy clouds are keeping the glare down as well. Sadly, the storm will last only one day, and then the temperatures will start creeping up again until a week from today the high is predicted to reach ninety. Today would be a good day to die. But I doubt I'll get that lucky.
And drat, I just got very unlucky. Just a I was about to post this entry my phone made that soft moan it does when the battery runs out. Now I'll have to wait until it has enough energy that I can reconnect to the Idernet and post this thing. And I was hoping to be asleep in ten minutes. Now it'll be half an hour at least. And I knew the battery was running low. Damn, old guys get stupid!
