Reset Forty-Five, Day Nineteen
Oct. 24th, 2022 02:08 amSunday was the second cool day in a row, and I slept somewhat more comfortably than I did during the hot weather. The mockingbird was outside singing again, with less competition from freeway noise than on a busy weekday. It soon grew dark, and I realized we're only two months from the winter solstice already. Summer lasted so long that the shorter days have crept up unexpected and said boo!
There was a can of vegetarian chili for dinner, and a bottle of Oregon porter. I made arrangements to have a few groceries picked uptomorrow today, as I'm running low on several things. I almost took a late evening nap, which might have been a good idea, as I intend to order the groceries online and it would have been good to get that done early this morning, which would have been easier after a nap. But I got distracted and my sleepiness went away. It's back now, but now I should stay up to get that grocery order started.
I'm sure there was something else I was going to say but it has vanished. A hundred things a day vanish now. I wonder if any of them will ever come back?
