Reset Forty-Seven, Day Fifteen
Dec. 14th, 2022 03:30 amThe groceries were fetched Tuesday, with surprisingly little bother and only one substitution. I woke too early in the day, and ended up feeling very tired by the time it was over, though I did very little. Despite having acquired various dinner foods I didn't feel like cooking anything, and ended up eating chips and sour cream instead of a meal. I wanted to take a nap, but was too keyed up from all the excitement of waiting around. I think I'm about ready to sleep now, but I've decided that I ought to fix a ramen bowl first. Going to sleep without eating usually has me waking up too hungry too early.
There were a couple of disappointments about my shopping order. One was the jar of pepperoncini I ordered when my usual brand wasn't available. The alternate brand's jar turned out to be un-openable. I even soaked it in hot water for half an hour, and still can't get it open. The other disappointment is the brownies. They had a buy-one-get-one-free sale on the store's bakery brownies, but they turned out to be almost revoltingly sweet, as well as larger than I'd expected. Now I have a dozen big, sweet brownies to eat before they go stale. Maybe I can find somebody to give some of them to.
There could be some rain next Monday, but until then it looks like it will be dull. Sunny but cool, and not even much wind to speak of. Happily, I now have plenty of milk for cocoa. I can probably get through the rest of the year, if I have to.
