Reset Forty-Eight, Day Sixty
Apr. 24th, 2023 05:24 amSunday (was it Sunday?) I kept putting off the nap I wanted and ended up never getting one, so I'm now exhausted and in no mood for being in a mood, but I'm in a mood. And tired. For dinner I made an avocado sandwich with an avocado I'd forgotten until it was almost too late. It was so close to rotten. But it was okay washed down with good beer, and didn't make me sick. Later, after midnight, I microwaved a ramen bowl. That hasn't made me sick yet either, though it was very spicy. We'll see if the acid reflux appear when I lie down.
Somehow I let the whole weekend get away from me without getting anything done, and will probably be unhappy with myself when I wake up today facing tasks that ought to have been out of the way. But balmy. Balmy after winter always induces my flakiness, and as it will still be balmy, so I'll probably flake again. In fact it could be a bit beyond balmy today, with a high of 81 predicted. Worse, it gets hotter after that, and Thursday through Sunday the highs will be in the nineties. Too soon! We could be looking at a hellish summer this year. But maybe I'll get lucky and the first heat wave will kill me, and I won't have to go through the others.
In the meantime, things to do. I think I have to plan on grocery fetching this Friday, and maybe a bank visit (though I hope not. I'll put that off as long as possible.) Oh, and the utility bill arrived. It is down considerably from the winter, but still sixty-two bucks and change. That's unheard of for this time of year. Stuff is still way disrupted I guess. Maybe that won't change for a long time. Maybe that won't change in my time.
