The decline in heat that I hoped would chill my brain a bit and make it more functional has failed so far to have that desired effect. My skin felt a bit better, but the inside of my head is as muddled as ever. Well, I've got four or five more days of less hellishness in which to recover. I don't know if they'll be enough.

A headline that popped up on the Idernet said that UPS drivers might go on strike. That would be quite unfortunate timing for me. I have those two packages due to be delivered tomorrow. If they don't make it now I have no idea how long it will be before I can get them. I really need that stuff for this hot weather too.

The other event Friday will be grocery fetching. I've assembled a list for Safeway, and will put in the order early Friday morning. I think I might order some stuff from Rite Aid as well, as they have a store almost adjacent to one of the Safeways, and they sent me a couple of coupons I might be able to use to get some of the stuff CVS failed me on. Plus Rite Aid is the only store I know of that still carries U-No bars, a candy that probably nobody under sixty likes, and I haven't had one in quite some time.

I've forgotten when I woke up, but I'm tired again. I'm sure I slept weird hours, but I can't remember them. I wonder if there's anything important I'm supposed to be doing that I've forgotten? Probably. Oh well. It probably won't be fatal, and if it is I get to leave summer behind early.
