rejectomorphDid I do this? I can't remember. No, I guess not. Strange days, stranger nights. I just ate a very spicy ramen bowl for breakfast, and I don't think I ate dinner Thursday. I'm pretty sure I had some pancakes for lunch then though. The floor around my computer chair feels a bit sticky, and I'm not sure what I might have spilled there. I hope it wasn't blood. There has been a fly in the apartment all night too. It's very annoying. I think it got in when I had the back door open to go out and water the plants, which I don't think I ever actually got around to doing. Anyway, I slept a lot, and then got up going on three o'clock this morning. I've been wandering about in my fantasy worlds since then, as the night is mostly a vague blur. A sure sign.
The first of four seriously hot days today, with triple digit highs. It feels like the world is falling into hell. It never cooled off much overnight, and it's already hot this morning. I wish I had some good news. I don't. 99 is the predicted high next Wednesday. Every other high in the two week forecast is triple digits. No good will come of this. Well, maybe for the lizards. Lizards like it hot. If I survive, all I'm likely to get out of it is a humongous electric bill. I hope the air conditioner doesn't break down.
