rejectomorphWednesday, in retrospect, or what I can muster of retrospect, seems odd. I'm not sure what it was, but a special vagueness has overwhelmed it, so pretty much all I remember is doing stuff that felt unpleasant, like rolling over in bed the wrong way and twisting something in my side, then standing up awkwardly and hurting my ankle, then making the mistake of reading a comment thread in a Facebook community, which can be rather like witnessing a series of explosions in an imbecile factory. Now it all seems like it might have happened a long time ago, or I might have dreamed it during a fitful nap. There were a couple of fitful naps, and also a bout of toothache which required an application of Oragel. Not a great day, in other words. But at least it wasn't as hot as last weekend.
I was hoping to get some groceries this weekend, but none of the stores are having good sales, so there won't be anything special. Getting something special makes the hassle of shopping a bit less onerous. It would also be nice to have something to break the monotony of the next heat wave, coming up soon. It has cooled off nicely outside tonight, though it will probably take having the fan going the rest of the night to get the apartment cool. Its insulation is like a big heat sink that just keeps warming the place almost as fast as the cool air cools it.
I'm also hoping the toothache won't come back tonight. I hate using the Oragel. It makes the inside of my mouth numb, and I now suspect that the really bad acid reflux event I had some time back was brought on by Oragel, which I had used about three nights running. Temporarily getting rid of a toothache only to suffocate on stomach acid I've inhaled does not strike me as a good deal.
The space bar on my keyboard just decided to start acting up, which makes typing too much of a hassle, so I'm shutting this down and going to bed. I'll probably just lie there in the draft for a few hours, but it's better than diddling with a wonky keyboard. I've got a can of compressed air to blow the device out with, but I want to do that in the daytime and outside. God knows what kind of crap will come flying out of this thing. It'll probably be vile though.
