Exhausting shopping day Friday, with almost no pre-pickup nap and a very restless one later. It's no donuts again, and I forgot to order one important item, but then it's like that anymore. Bad brain from me and low competence from the stores. I opened a an of tamales and a can of beans for dinner, and eve though I only ate half of each I've gotten some pretty serious acid reflux. And the other half is waiting in the refrigerator to be dinner a couple of nights from now.

All the stuff that's easy to cook and that I sort of like is getting problematic. I wonder how much longer I'll be able to eat anything at all? My stomach seems hellbent on beating all the other body parts in the Death Derby. Unless my cardiovascular system manages to pull off an upset, the stomach might well win. I wish my brain would just decide to override everybody else and say one night "okay I'm shutting everything down and we're dying in our sleep. None of that long, drawn-out crap the rest of you have been contemplating." But I doubt my brain is that smart.

Now I need to sleep, but I'll probably wake up needing to pee before long. I've been downing a lot of water. For some reason the air of this cool late summer night is terribly dry. I'll be glad to turn the fan off.
