rejectomorphAlthough I rarely remember what happens then, I like to imagine I surf the waves of dreams in the ocean of sleep. As quotidian reality grows ever more troublesome, it would be nice to think there was some other place refreshing my spirit. Maybe this is why I seldom recall dreams. Remembering them might shatter an illusion.
Instead of recalling dreams I listen to music, which is rather like dreams. It's another place that can refresh the spirit, for those who need it. Now that summer is winding down and losing its fierceness, I can get nostalgic about it, and let its memory wash over me like a warm wave. That's why all Friday I was listening to this song by Chris Rea, who clearly loves summer. If it were more like this dream of a song, I might love it too.
