The groceries got picked up around half past one Friday afternoon, and though I forgot to order three crucial items myself, the store didn't have to make a single substitution, which I don't think has ever happened since I've ben ordering online. But I only got about an hour and a half of sleep all night, so I was utterly exhausted long before getting everything put away, and only made sure everything that needed to be chilled was in refrigerator or freezer, and then I crashed for a few hours. I got up before midnight, but have mostly just fooled around since. I did finish putting most of the groceries away (at leas those that have places to go in this storage-short apartment) and I fed myself with a microwaved frozen entrée because I didn't feel like coking anything. I'm doubtful that I'll be fully recovered even after I sleep again.
The rain held off until after nightfall, and it was the sound of thumping water in the downspout that woke me from my late nap. Since then it has continued of and on, but more off for the last hour or so. It's supposed to rain a lot more today, but then ease up after nightfall. If it weren't for the lights of the mini-metropolis I might even get to see the end of the Leonid meteor shower. It's supposed to be at its peak about now, and I wouldn't be able to see it even if I were away from the town, since the whole north state is overcast. Bur people in darker areas might catch a few latecomers Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Oh, one of my packages from Penney's is supposed to arrive this afternoon. I don't know if it's the tank tops or the boxers, but both are likely to be in those plastic bag packages, so I shouldn't have to worry about them getting wet in the rain. I'm supposed to get a text notification when it's delivered anyway, so I'll probably be able to bring it in before it's been out there too long. The blankets from Kohl's, which will surely be packed in cardboard packages, won't arrive until next week, at the earliest. There's no rain in the forecast for that period.
Oops, hit a wall again and nodded off at the computer. I hate when I do that. It's hard on my neck. I need to get to bed. Too bad my new blankets haven't arrived yet. It's gotten very chilly tonight.
