Sunday evening a nephew came and put new batteries in the carbon monoxide alarm and it no longer chirps at me. I had gotten lucky that morning when I went to bed, as I hit the reset button and it stopped its chirps until a couple of hours after I woke up. I had tried the reset button earlier and it only stopped the chirps for a few minutes. So I got sort of a day's sleep Sunday, and then got lucky with dinner too. I heated the frozen lasagna that I'd bought at the same time as the one I had a couple of weeks ago that was so bad, but this one, while not up to historic standards, was at least edible. The bad one must have ben a fluke. I suspect it might have ben mishandled at some point and allowed to thaw and then got refrozen. That can mess stuff up.

Despite fairly good sleep Sunday morning, I got tired again in the evening and took a nap that lasted until after midnight. That required a second breakfast which I decided would be PIE! More recently I've required a second dinner, which I decided would be fried potatoes. I like fried potatoes, but they don't get all caps like PIE! I've also had two bottles of Guinness in the last twelve hours, and Guinness almost deserves all caps, so I'd say Sunday was a good day. I've gotten a text that says one of my packages from Kohl's is to be delivered today, so maybe this will be a good day too. I'll have a new "blanket" and will be able to shed the inadequate throw that has been augmenting my single "good" blanket-like piece of fabric. I'm not expecting full-on comfort, but I hope that the coziness will at least be increased. At my age, that alone would be quite an accomplishment.
