Up too late again. (And again, and again....)

Journal surfing, I came across why the chicken crossed the road. This is probably old, but I don't believe I've seen it before, and I found it amusing.

My post from yesterday morning illustrates why I generally stick to writing descriptions of concrete reality, rather than wandering off into the dangerous thickets of metaphor. When I depart from my normal regime, I run the risk that people will find out get the false impression that I'm a complete lunatic. This most recent departure was the result of lack of sleep. I lack sleep at the moment, and might decide to indulge in symbolism at any moment if I don't go to bed right now!

oh, i don't know -- i liked the entry. symbolism is what makes the world go 'round, for some of us. ;)
