rejectomorphMonday's shopping fiasco was resolved, though at the cost of considerable inconvenience, and after much delay I acquired my groceries after six o'clock in the evening. Utterly exhausted, of course, I soon returned to bed and slept until after midnight. Then I fixed some dinner and opened an extra beer to compensate for the semi-trauma I'd endured. I didn't buy as much stuff as I could have, but three will still be some tasty things to munch over the next few days. I wish I'd remembered to buy some cupcakes though.
At the moment I'm brewing a cup of belated bedtime mullein leaf tea, and hoping that the temperature inhere can get down to no more than 70 before I go to sleep. It's still 72, so I probably won't make it, but i comfort myself with the knowledge that I'm not spending anything on running the air conditioner, just letting the open windows and the fan do the job partway for cheap.
