Reset Fifty, Day Twelve

rejectomorphMonday morning the plumbers did not arrive, and I went back to bed, then was wakened around half past eleven with the news that they were coming Tuesday instead. I hadn't even been told they had been coming Monday. Better late than never? This is apt to be the most disruptive part of the plumbing job, and I won't have my living room or computer (they'll be tearing up the ceiling in here, and I have no alternative place for it) but will be stuck reading books in my sweaty bed. No music either, since the computer is my only source of that. I'm already counting this as a lost day, and hoping it is the only one.
And now I want to at least get my stinking sweat sponged off before the plumbers get here. The second of four miserable days today before a brief respite begins Friday, a few days with highs in the mere nineties, and nights actually in the sixties. After that, more hellish summer. Will it ever actually end?
