Reset Fifty, Day Thirteen

rejectomorphNo plumbers again Tuesday, but their absence gave me a chance to take along afternoon and evening nap. Perhaps I misunderstood the message I got Monday. I thought she said they'd be here "tomorrow" (meaning Tuesday) bur maybe she said Wednesday. My brain is so far gone I'm just not sure. anyway, they weren't here Tuesday, which means they likely will be here today, as I feared. The hottest damn day of the week, after the hottest damn night. As they will be working in the kitchen I will be unable to use the kitchen-adjacent computer (and no, there's no other workable place to put it.) I hope the job goes fast, without complications.
I was so distraught Tuesday that I indulged myself by setting the thermostat to 78 instead of my usual 80. It's still there. I jus might leave it. It won't get cool enough outside tonight to have open windows or fan, but damn, this is going to bring on one huge utility bill. But I need to sleep again. I have no idea when the guys will get here, (if they come at all) but it's apt to be early. I need some sleep for the rough day it's likely to be.
