51/95: Doltery
Dec. 17th, 2024 10:24 amMonday turned rainier than expected, and I didn't get my afternoon nap because the FedEx driver left my package at the wrong address and I had to deal with their reporting system. When I got the text notification that it had been delivered, I opened the door and there it wasn't. I checked the doors of the two apartments next door, but it wasn't there either. I went back and downloaded the photo the driver had taken, and didn't recognize the door at all.
Whoever got it must have called FedEx, because a few hours later I got a call saying the driver had misdelivered and would fetch it and bring it here, but by then the afternoon was gone. I finally got the delivery going on five o'clock, and then I started my nap, which turned into a restless night's sleep, and I finally got up around half past one in the morning and fixed my dinner in the middle of the night. The whole dumpster fire was exhausting. Thanks, FedEx.
I was hoping Monday's mail would bring an ad for Safeway so I could know what they'll have on sale this coming week before this week's sale ends, so if it isn't as good as this week I could get something today instead of Friday, but there was none. The last three weeks we got the new ads on Monday, but Tuesday afternoon will be too late. But why am I even bothering to write about all this stuff? Is it really anything I'll want to remember in the future? Whatever future there is? Probably not. I'd surely be better off going back to sleep. Which is what I think I'll do now. There's really nothing to stay up for.
Oh, and an extra half hour to recharge the phone and refetch the Internet, because stupid old guy.
