52/51: Show Shower Showest
Mar. 6th, 2025 02:37 amAn afternoon nap that didn't extend all the way past nightfall was my big event Wednesday. I got up and checked the mailbox, examined the Idernet, made some actual dinner, made myself rather sickish eating it, and settled down to watch videos on YouTube. And, surprise, there was thunder and lightning (very very frightening) and rain. But that started after nightfall, and I haven't been out to see how wet it got. We are still getting showers now and then, but for the most part the night has turned quiet.
More rain is expected later today, then a few cool but dry days for the weekend, and then more rain next week. I'm glad to be getting rain now, even puny, warmish rain, but we sure could have used some of this stuff back in January, with a bit of chill so there could be more snow in the mountains. But this is what the sad year has brought us, so I guess we make do. And it looks as though I've slipped back into a nocturnal mode. Wednesday I woke shortly before dawn and today it looks like I'll be going to sleep about the same time. O world, but that thy strange mutations make us hate thee, life would not yield to age. Surely not true, as age wouldn't be that easy to hold off, but you gotta give The Bard his say, even when he's off a bit. I surely couldn't turn even the truest phrase that well.
