52/75: After
Apr. 2nd, 2025 01:52 amTuesday did bring some rain, mostly in the evening, but once again the thunderstorms failed to materialize. Still, even though we got shorted in the valley it seems the mountains did well both Monday and Tuesday, which means we all benefit when summer comes. Over nine feet of snow had fallen by Tuesday evening, and another two or three feet could fall overnight tonight. That took the totals to very near the normal for the beginning of April. We're in better shape than it appeared we'd end up during the dry midwinter.
My afternoon nap coincided with a rain shower and the two items in the mailbox got wet, but they were only supermarket flyers, so no serious damage. Now that they've dried a bit I can see that Safeway is not great for my Friday shopping again this week, but I suppose I'll make do. There's some chance of one rainy day next week, and after that it will be heat wave time. Not looking forward to that. At the moment I'm only looking forward to going to sleep before it gets bright. A mostly sunny day is going to make my room visually noisy, an I want to sleep through as much of it as I can.
