52/175-176: Mystery
Aug. 1st, 2025 12:30 pmWednesday and Thursday appear to have gone by and left not a trace. So far this is the only trace today is leaving. I do believe that Thursday I even forgot to go out and check the mailbox. That was because I started a nap too late in the afternoon and ended up sleeping though the evening too late to go out. I don't like going out after nightfall anymore, because the night blindness leaves me stumbling about wondering where I am. That makes it just a bit too much like the rest of my life.
I'm probably going to have an afternoon nap again today, since I like to sleep through the hottest part of the day. I'm hoping I can wake up this time, though, because I am curious about what might be waiting in the mailbox from yesterday, if anything. Should I find anything, I won't know if it was delivered today or yesterday, so my curiosity must remain forever unsatisfied. That, too, is too much like the rest of my life, but it's too late to do anything about that now. It will have to be enough that my indigestion has simmered down, and that I have had a sufficiency of donuts this week,
which shall continue this coming week. I need not shop again until a week from today. Until then, the donuts will offer some small compensation for the rising temperatures. After that, who knows? It's another mystery, like the contents of my mailbox, and what happened to Wednesday.
