52/213-214-215: Loopy
Sep. 19th, 2025 08:45 amSeriously losing track of days now. There have been some clouds, and did I notice a moon, or was that a dream or a memory that got displaced into now? I couldn't say. The saying would likely be boring anyway, so so what? And so so is what it all is, so there's that, and that's that. I don't ask why. I don't want it to get any more complicated than it is.
I'm sleeping a lot but not well. It's been cooler lately, but it's been cooler, but it wasn't cooler last night. It will be tonight, as it will today, but it will also be muggier, which I won't like. There was a possibility of rain here last night, but I don't think we got any. At least it didn't look wet outdoors this morning, though it did smell damp. This is the remnant of that tropical storm which just dumped loads of rain on Los Angeles and sent muddy, fire-denuded hillsides flowing down the streets. I'm a bit sad that I'm missing it. Not sad that it's missing me. Still, I'd love a Fatburger, and I'll never get one here.
Found a decent YouTube video of my favorite Scott Joplin piece, the Gladiolus Rag. It's played by the guy who uploaded it, and though he doesn't have a touch as deft as Joshua Rifkin's, he's got the tempo about right and the syncopes are all there. It's worth a listen. I'm looping it, myself.
