Do you ever get the feeling that the world is not just passing you by, but vanishing in a cloud of dust, like the roadrunner, and that your Acme computer, which is supposed to help you catch it, is about to blow up in your face?

I thought so. It's a holiday drop-off in posting. Usually when I see the stats on my portal page, the number of posts is somewhere like 112,000 to 130,000 or more. Quiet day. Everybody in this country is cooking or driving somewhere.
