Bummer. I like fog, but there are times when it just shouldn't be there. I've been out watching for the last hour. There is a bit of cloud here, but most of the eastern sky is clear. It's cold outside, though. My ears are all tingly now that I'm back in the house. They'll numb up again when I go back out to watch the sky turning blue.
That's too bad. It's quite a sight. It will be even better when the sky turns that deep pre-dawn blue in a few minutes. If I had a decent camera, I'd get some pictures of it, but a fiddly point-and-shoot can't do a long enough exposure.
total cloud cover last night... but ten minutes ago, the sun set covered the chugach range in alpenglow and the sky was aflame with all those colors we have no names for.
November and December are usually cloudy here, too, but this year has been unusually clear so far. I'm enjoying having actual sunlight, for a change, though I wouldn't mind the occasional romantic grey day.
