Wet and Wild

rejectomorphAll night, the wind roaring, rattling rain against the windows. For some reason, the cats have both wanted to spend a lot of time out on the porch. Neither of them has been fond of rain in the past, but now they seem to be taking great pleasure in watching it. They are getting more like me. We're due for a few more days of this, so we might all get sick of it, yet. For the time being, it is a delight. Surprisingly, it doesn't feel too cold outside. Even more of a surprise, the power has not failed, in spite of the winds. And the rain hat over my telephone box has thus far prevented my Internet connection from vanishing.
Things are going reasonably well for everyone but Sluggo. He apparently has a bad case of code indigestion from the Microsoft patches I installed yesterday. He has shown me his blue screen a couple of times tonight, and Juno has been shut down as a result of invalid page faults four times, and this even after I defragged the hard drive. If he knew that there were almost 50 more patches and updates to be downloaded and installed, he'd be having conniptions. Heh. Poor Sluggo. Anyway, all the delays have kept me up way too late again. I hope I can wake up early enough to go out this afternoon. Places to go, things to do. Wet to be.
